Pressure–Sensitive Transfer Adhesives

Virtually since its inception, Dielectric Polymers has pushed the limits of adhesive technology, advancing its line of unsupported transfer adhesives to meet higher temperature and adhesion requirements for optimum performance in a multitude of laminating applications.

General Purpose Laminating Adhesives: NT-100APS, 140APS, 100A89, 140A89

These two and four mil acrylic transfer adhesives are cast on a  moisture stable  poly-coated kraft liner, available in a standard 60# grade and an 89# grade. Designed for permanent adhesion over a broad temperature range, these products may be used in mounting nameplates, signs and graphic panels, in membrane switches and in point-of-purchase displays. These adhesives offer excellent resistance to plasticizer migration, solvents and U.V. light as well as superior long term aging characteristics.

Double Liner Products: NT-101PLE, 141PLE, 101PLT, 141PLT

These two and four mil acrylic transfer adhesives are designed for permanent assembly of metals and engineering plastics. They offer exceptional resistance to U.V. light, solvents and plasticizer migration, making them ideal for automotive, appliance and electronics applications.

In the PLE Series, the adhesive is cast on a moisture stable poly-coated kraft base liner. A high density polyethylene interliner permits selective die cutting for dials, panels and gauges.

In the PLT Series, the adhesive is cast on a high density polyethylene base liner with an easy release densified kraft interliner. The clear release liner allows for easy inspection of backlighted panels.

High Temperature/Neutral pH Laminating Adhesives: NT-200APS, 240APS

The unique features of this acrylic adhesive system make these products stand out in two distinct markets. With continuous  operating service at 350° F (177° C), these transfer adhesives offer superior adhesion and shear properties in automotive interior and other bonding applications where elevated temperatures are present.  This is a non-fogging adhesive system which eliminates the emission of vapors that can cause potential damage to interior automotive parts.

The adhesive is also formulated with neutral pH, making it ideal for photo mounting and graphic arts applications. These transfer adhesives are available in two or four mil adhesive cast on a 60# moisture stable poly-coated liner.

High Tack Laminating Adhesives: NT-988, 988-2

NT-988, a four mil acrylic transfer adhesive, is formulated to literally "grab" a surface as soon as it is put down. This adhesive system is designed for mounting applications where instant adhesion is critical, even on low surface energy plastics such as polyethylene and polypropylene. NT-988 offers exceptionally high tack for roll starting in the textile industry and in holding together heavy substrates such as metal in roll form during semi-automatic splicing applications. NT-988 is also a natural candidate for use in tamper-evident products that incorporate a closure system designed for single use applications. When matched with the appropriate film or non-woven material, this adhesive system can create tamper-evident products and packaging where the tensile properties of the base substrate fail before the adhesive releases.

NT-988-2 is a two mil acrylic transfer adhesive offering a combination of high initial tack and shear strength for laminating various materials including low surface energy substrates. This adhesive is resistant to plasticizer migration and is reinforced with fibers for quick and easy liner removal.

Silicone Transfer Adhesives: NT-1001, 1005

TRANS-SILâ silicone transfer adhesives solve the problem of bonding in extreme temperatures. These two and five mil silicone transfer adhesives, protected by two clear polyester film liners, maintain bond strength at temperatures of –300° F to 500° F (-185° C to 260° C) and offer superior adhesion on silicone foam, metals and low surface energy substrates. They are designed for high performance in electronics, aerospace, automotive and other applications involving harsh environments.
