Our Products
Zone Coated Transfer Tapes Accepting the challenges of the industrial marketplace is familiar territory to Dielectric Polymers. Because we are a small, high technology manufacturer, we can be flexible in terms of new product development and, in turn, provide the same degree of flexibility to our customers. Our dedication to meeting such challenges has resulted in the design of state-of-the-art equipment to coat, slit and rewind zone coated transfer tapes in-line.
Zone coated transfer tapes are unique in that pressure-sensitive adhesive is coated within a zone on a release liner, allowing a dry edge on either side of the adhesive for easy liner removal. These tapes are used in applications that we encounter every day – to pressure-sensitize business forms and mailing envelopes, in bag closure applications, advertising displays, diaper tape applications and for destructible/security wristbands often used in amusement parks and at various entertainment-related venues. These products also act as a processing aid in applications that we may not necessarily see such as core starting, splicing, die cutting, printing, binding, and sign applications. Our zone coated tapes can be supplied in a wide variety of precise coating patterns on an assortment of carriers including film, silicone release paper and custom printed liners. Dielectric Polymers currently manufactures a permanent, unsupported adhesive tape for use in aggressively bonding paper, film, foil and non-woven fabric to various substrates. We also produce a low peel, repositionable zone coated tape designed to transport, position or temporarily hold die cut/slit items until demounting is desired. We will soon have the capability to produce double coated tissue tapes in a variety of product configurations as well. Our slitting capabilities start at ½ inch and move up in ¼ inch increments to 3 inches for a standard tape. In general, flexibility is the key factor in how we manufacture zone coated tapes. If we cannot accommodate our customer’s needs with a standard product, we evaluate the application and conduct a trial run to assure that we can produce a tape that meets exact specifications. Dielectric Polymers can accept these challenges by being responsive and innovative, often providing total flexibility with regard to product configuration and liner used. |
