Specialty Tapes Splicing Tapes Dielectric Polymers has diversified its line of splicing tapes to meet just about any need in industrial splicing. Whether high temperature or high tack requirements are a critical consideration, Dielectric Polymers has a splicing tape to fit your application. These tapes are available in various configurations of silicone adhesive on a polyester backing, offering good conformability, chemical and temperature resistance for splicing silicone release coated paper and film. High Temperature Splicing Tapes: NT-511, 511C, 4511, 4512 These tapes are designed for applications where elevated temperatures are present. All grades, constructed of one mil silicone on a one or two mil polyester backing, can withstand continuous temperatures of 400° F (204° C). These tapes are available in red, clear and green. High Tack Splicing Tapes: NT-5513, 8511-2, 9511-2 These tapes are designed for applications where quick adhesion is required. All grades, constructed of 1.5 or 2.6 mil silicone on a one mil polyester backing, can withstand continuous temperatures of 350° F (177° C). These tapes are available in yellow, green and blue. Zero Wet Out Splicing Tapes: NT-2802, 2811, 2821, 2821-2, 2822 This line of burgundy tapes is designed for splicing applications where instant adhesion is a critical requirement. This series is formulated with a premium grade silicone adhesive for high initial tack on difficult to bond substrates such as low surface energy films. All grades, constructed of one to two mil silicone on a one or two mil polyester backing, can withstand continuous temperatures of 350° F (177° C). Photo Processing Tapes: NT-8512-2, Mini-lab processing applications demand a splicing tape that provides quick adhesion when splicing film to leader cards for extraction from rolls. These chemical resistant tapes, constructed with 1.5 mil silicone adhesive on a two mil polyester backing, offer high tensile strength to resist tearing and dispense easily for operator efficiency. These tapes are available in green and violet. Linered Splicing Tapes: NT-9511-2DL, 9511-2CDL These splicing tapes provide increased efficiency for converters of roll label stock and substrates to be coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive by reducing material loss and handling. These polyester film tapes have a silicone easy release coating on one side and high temperature silicone adhesive on the other side. The tapes are laminated to and protected by a clear polyester release liner. The silicone easy release coating on the back side of the polyester allows adhesive transfer at the splice area. In splicing label stock, there is no loss of labels at the splice area which is a critical factor in sequential label applications. The silicone easy release coating also provides easy removal of the matrix and maintains registration through the splice. These tapes, available in blue and clear, are constructed of 1.5 mil silicone on a one mil polyester backing laminated to a two mil film release liner. Temperature resistance to 350° F (177° C). Flying Splice Tape: NT-988-2 This two mil acrylic transfer adhesive offers a combination of high initial tack and shear strength in flying splice applications on various substrates including low surface energy materials. The adhesive is reinforced with fibers for quick and easy liner removal and is resistant to plasticizer migration. Plating Tapes Dielectric Polymers has engineered a line of plating tapes and fume masks with varying levels of adhesion and temperature resistance to meet a wide range of needs in etching and plating applications. All of these tapes offer good conformability for fine line definition, excellent chemical resistance and clean tape removal with no adhesive residue. Plating Tapes: NT-580, 582, 583, 590, NT-580, 582 and 583 are constructed with silicone adhesive on a one mil polyester backing. All grades are formulated for electrical
insulation applications and as a mask for printed circuit Fume Masks: NT-581, 7411-5 These fume masks, constructed of silicone adhesive on a polyester film backing, provide controlled adhesion for protection of printed circuit boards during the plating process. Temperature resistance for both grades is 350° F (177° C). Available in blue and teal. High Temperature/Selective Masking Tapes In powder coating, automotive and other finishing operations, effective
masking materials are often one of the most vital Self-Wound Masking Tapes: NT-590, 590-2, 8512-2 All grades offer fine line definition on coated parts, an abrasion and tear resistant backing and clean tape removal. The 590 Series tapes are constructed of 1.5 mil silicone adhesive on a one or two mil polyimide film backing, capable of performing at continuous temperatures of 500° F (260° C) with short-term service to 600° F (315° C) for custom coating applications. NT-8512-2 is supplied with 1.5 mil green silicone adhesive on a two mil polyester backing that will not shrink or embrittle at temperatures up to 350° F (177° C), resisting splintering when removed. Selective Masking Tapes: NT-590DL, These masking tapes are laminated to a clear polyester release liner for die cutting in electronics and selective masking applications. NT-590DL, with 1.5 mil silicone adhesive on one mil polyimide film, provides secure protection for powder coating, anodizing, solder waving and plating applications with continuous temperature resistance up to 500° F (260° C) and short-term service to 600° F (315° C). NT-9512-2DL, constructed with 1.5 mil blue silicone adhesive on two mil polyester film, operates in temperatures up to 350° F (177° C). The die cut discs/shapes are easy to remove from the release liner and leave no adhesive residue when removed from finished parts. Polyimide Label Stock NT-490 thermal transfer imprintable polyimide label stock is coated with high temperature acrylic adhesive suitable for label applications in harsh environments and high temperature conditions. This material is designed to work with resin-based thermal transfer ribbons in electronic printing as well as with solvent-based inks in flexography and
screenprinting. |
