For more than 50 years, Photokina has been a leading trade fair servicing the photographic and imaging sector. DPI Specialty Tapes S.L. serves the photographic mini lab market with splicing tapes manufactured by Dielectric Polymers in Holyoke, MA. These tapes are used for splicing negatives to a plastic leader card before it is fed into a printer processor to produce prints. Because the negatives travel long distances at high rates of speed through the machine, the tape backing must have high tensile strength to resist breaks. Also, the adhesive system must provide fast, strong adhesion and remove cleanly from the leader card to eliminate leader card clean-up.
